The National Park of the Banc d’Arguin
The Banc D’Arguin National Park Site in Mauritania was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1989. Fringing the Atlantic Coast, the Park comprises sand Dunes, coastal swamps, small islands, and shallow coastal waters. A wide variety of migrating birds spend the winter, while several species of sea turtle and dolphin, used By fishermen to locate shoals of fish, can also be found here. Banc D’Arguin can be considered as one of the “Crown Jewels Of Our Ocean” and is recognized for its outstanding beauty and exceptional biodiversity.

The Diawling National Park lies in South West Mauritania around the Senegal River Delta. Designated as a Wetland Site Of International Importance, The Park is home to a Remarkable variety of birds (300 Species of Birds, Including 130 Migratory Species ) and it is also the only nesting site of the lesser Flamingo in West Africa.
